ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Campus Manager, you are Teach For Cambodia’s ambassador to support our recruitment and marketing team. You will join a network of leaders from over 53 countries around the world in the collective mission to create awareness for the challenges and opportunities in education. You will assert your leadership and work with your team towards building TFC’s presence on university campuses. You will execute activities to attract, identify and inspire Cambodia’s future leaders to join our Fellowship Program and make an impact on the lives of Cambodian children.

AT A GLANCE

  • Current undergraduate, post-graduate students and recent university graduates seeking an exposure to the fields of leadership, education, talent acquisition, social impact, marketing and communications. 
  • Candidates of all majors are qualified to apply
  • Minimum criteria: 3rd year student 
  • 6-month commitment starting in December 2019, or immediately
  • Seeking 4 – 5 participants (contract is renewable)
  • Part-time (minimum of 20 working hours per week): stipend of $150/month
  • Full-time (40 working hours per week): stipend of $350/month

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP

Be proactive to recruit, select, train and manage Campus Leaders to expand the network of Campus Leaders

As a leader, take ownership of the team’s well-being to ensure a collaborative and result-driven work environment

Address and problem-solve issues and challenges faced by the Campus Leader team under your supervision

 
TEAM MANAGEMENT
  • Create opportunities for Campus Leaders to grow professionally and personally
  • Monitor your team’s progress to goals
  • Manages a positive team culture by reinforcing motivation and drive towards Teach For Cambodia’s mission and values.
STRATEGIC PLAINING
  • Develop recruitment strategies within your campus portfolio in accordance with the organization’s objectives and procedures.
  • Plan and execute a plan to address the needs and gaps in the team
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
  • Drive partnerships with external stakeholders from youth groups, university staffs, government officers and so on to increase awareness of challenges and opportunities in education and Teach For Cambodia

KEY MEASURE OF SUCCESS

  • Recruitment Target of Campus Portfolio: to be set and discussed with a supervisor
  • Build relationships with professional and TFC external stakeholders: to be set and discussed with Mentor
  • Successfully develop and manage Campus Leader Team to achieve the goals

ELIGIBILITY

  • Must be in 3rd, 4th Year, Post-graduate university students, or recently graduated
  • Has previously lead at least one project
  • Candidates of all academic majors and career interests are eligible to apply

  • Good understanding of the organization and is committed to our mission
  • Possesses strong leadership and project management skills
  • Effective team management skills to ensure strong performance and growth of the Campus Leaders
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with campus stakeholders and high potential candidates
  • Be resourceful and willing to acquire new knowledge to improve current strategies

  • Can I apply for both Campus Manager and Campus Leader?

No. You can choose only one because each position requires different commitment and competency levels.

  • What is the application process?

Application process has two parts:

  2. 2. Interview 

Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview. 

If you are accepted, you will be invited to the training!

If I got accepted to be a Campus Leader, can I switch to Campus Manager role later? 

Yes, you can switch upon discussion with TFC recruitment and marketing staff. We had a Campus Leader in the past who got promoted to become Campus Manger. We also have Campus Manager who joined our full-time staff.
