About High Touch High Tech

High Touch High Tech (HTHT) is a multi-country initiative spearheaded by the Education Development Center (EDC) and implemented in-country by Teach For Cambodia. HTHT is an integrated approach that delivers adaptive and personalized learning for all students by combining the unique strengths of the teacher (High Touch) and the power of technology (High Tech).

The technology provides adaptive content to develop students’ foundational skills while the teacher focuses on  students’ higher order skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and socio-emotional learning. Growing evidence suggests that such an approach could be most beneficial for those furthest behind.

About Teach For Cambodia & Maths Pathway

Teach For Cambodia partners with Maths Pathway, an Australian-based social enterprise organization implementing AI-enabled personalized learning for math in high-need public schools. In 2022, we successfully piloted HTHT in three public schools in Phnom Penh and Kandal impacting 400+ students in marginalized communities. In just 9 weeks, students gained 22 weeks of learning and were highly satisfied with their learning experiences while teachers reported a reduced workload. Building on this success, Teach For Cambodia and Maths Pathway will implement the second phase of this innovative teaching and learning model for the 2024-2025 academic year.
